Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
